Tom Jackson

Paralegal

Tom studied for an undergraduate degree in History (2:1) and a Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Sheffield, before returning to his hometown Leeds to complete the Bar Professional Training Course at the University of Law, where he received the honour of ‘very competent’.

Tom is within the family law department as a paralegal and has experience in working at Children’s Social Work Services for Leeds City Council, volunteering at York Citizens’ Advice Bureau and has assisted clients through their PIP and ESA appeals at tribunal. Tom assists clients with a variety of legal issues, including divorce and finance disputes, custody disputes, care proceedings and social services involvement, injunctions and disputes between unmarried couples.

Aside from work, Tom enjoys being involved in local politics. When not wanting to start arguments however, he will talk about his passions of cinema, sport and occasionally the American Civil War if anyone is willing to listen.
